A Season to Cherish Those Who Matter Most
With the holiday season upon us and Christmas this week; family and friends gather to celebrate, and reflect on the year, the new connections made, endeavors embarked on and the growth experienced both personally and professionally.
Every year has its highs and lows, especially as a small business owner, each of us can point to the various successes and setbacks over the past months, yet we’re still here, wiser more resilient and experienced. Business success often comes with a sacrifice of putting in a great volume of time and effort, devoting finances and absorbing risk. The hard work can take us away from our loved ones and those most important to us, but it’s this season where we are gathered together to focus on what is most important, those relationships we have in our hearts, both personal and spiritual, that without, would have never led us to the point of trying to accomplish our dreams.
People and the relationships we form play such an important role in our success, mainly due to the effort they cause us to exhibit. Often times the most successful entrepreneurs are spurred on by something greater than themselves, an impulse from their environment and contact with the people they love or work for. Sometimes it’s an inner calling, a spiritual one, the search for purpose which comes from our relationship with God, the most important family member we could hope for.
With this driving force behind us, it’s important to persevere and continue to plan and grow, enhance our vision for success whatever they may look like to each of us individually. A vision rooted within a foundation of passion built by the bonds which we have forged through our own journeys and trials this year and those past.
Momentum in life and business is powerful, capturing that innate fortitude of purpose, and encouragement we receive from those most dear to us can take anyone or any idea and send it into overdrive.
As 2026 draws nearer, it’s important to focus, strategize and plan for the future. How will you apply the best you have for those that mean the most to you? Or that project you wanted to tackle or expansion you’ve been planning for. Work to line things up so when the calendar turns, you’re ready, willing and motivated to race and win.
As we take time away this holiday season, ask yourself who do you do it for? What motivates you? It may very well be the people present, or in our hearts this Christmas, cherish and appreciate the time spent together and remember them as a touchstone as you carry on up the road towards your success.
